It has independently developed an automatic driving simulation platform and a virtual driving simulation platform, and provides digital city/automotive applications for B-side enterprises. Since the establishment of the company, customers and businesses have maintained a rapid growth of more than 400 percent every year. Currently, it has served more than 350 enterprise customers from home and abroad, including BMW, Auto House, Weimar Automobile, Vanke, ΜΟΜΛ, Country Garden, JQZ Group, China Railway Construction, FAW Pentium, Alibaba, Mercedes-Benz, China Mobile, JingChi Technology, Tesla, National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Shanghai) Pilot Zone and other famous enterprises & institutions.
Up to now, the 51VR team has accumulatively entered 108 cities and regions at home and abroad, and has achieved full coverage in the domestic first-tier and core second-tier cities. It has set up R&D centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Silicon Valley and Frankfurt. At present, over 65% of the over 300 employees are researchers in the field of computer graphics, machine vision, deep learning, etc. They come from universities such as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Stanford University, UCL, UIUC, and have worked at Microsoft Research Asia, Autodesk, Crytek, CCP, Activision Blizzard, Virtuos and other companies. In 2017, 51VR was rated as a national high-tech enterprise. In February 2018, Dr. Wang Lifeng, a leader in computer graphics, joined 51VR as CTO and Chief Scientist.
By 2017, 51VR had completed a total of nearly 300 million Yuan in financing, and the investors include Lightspeed, ΜΟΜΛ, SenseTime Technology, Star VC, Green Living, Green Pine Capital, SPD Silicon Valley Bank, etc.
